Cellular Jail

The Cellular Jailalso known as kalapani. It was a prison made by Britishers to exile political prisoners who were involved in the freedom struggle of India. The Cellular jail construction time was around 11 years ( 1896 - 1906). Many Freedom fighters of India like Batukeshwar Dutt, Yogendra Shukla and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar were sent to this jail. Now the jail is announced as national memorial monument of India. This jail shows the dark period of Indian freedom struggle. Thousands of freedom fighters sent to this jail to give inhumane punishments. Many freedom fighters died due to inhumane punishment and many were hanged. it is a must visit place in Port Blair.

Viper Island
Viper island is one of the historical significant historical monument where in colonial times britishers used to keep the freedom fighter here and treat in brutal condition which takes you in history,therefore viper island is one of the wonderful and beautiful surrounding of the viper island.which admires the beauty of the natures.

Anthropological Museum

ANTHROPOLOGICAL MUSEUM Started in the year 1975-76. The Anthropological Museum is situated in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Island. Chatham Saw Mill

In Port Blair the capital of Andaman & Nicobar island Chatham Saw Mill is Situated. It is the Oldest Saw mill In Asia set up in 1883. But during world war 2 this mill was destroyed. In 1950 this mill was again revived in 1950. The museum show you the forest activities of the Andaman islands. You will also see the decorative good of the different kinds of woods like Padauk, Marble, Peauma, Gurjan, Satin Wood etc.
